This page includes national trends in crimes with an overlay of current political leadership. Currently provided as static images, parts of this dashboard will later be replaced with live or semi-live data. Current data was collected ~2020 but ran through ~2018. More details will be provided as available.
All reports use crimes per 100k citizens. This is a standardized rate.

This overview table uses conditional formatting (more green = more good, measured up/down not left/right). As an example, Clinton has the best Term Delta with -240.6 ...meaning that during his term, the number of violent crimes per 100k citizens was lowered by that much. |
|
This combination chart shows crime rates as lines, and the bars at the bottom are used as a notation of which parties are currently in power. The lowers row of medium red/blue is Senate, the middle row of light red/blue is House, and the top (double high) row of dark red/blue is President. This shorthand notation is intended to provided inline context of current leadership and cross-branch consensus. |
|
This side-by-side comparison is taken from the above chart, but normalized to allow the direct comparison of the last 8-year president from each party, and their starting/ending crime rates and changes throughout. |

Following the above format, this chart shows certain violent crimes itemized in the context of current leadership. |
